Most of us are alarmed with what happened to these three places. And it somehow made us realize that there really is no safe place at all. You cannot hide if you’re destined to be the target. But of course, we can also take precautionary measures for things like these.

Now I am thinking of ways to make our house safe so if something unexpected happens, we will all be prepared. In fact, I am also thinking about getting life insurance quotes. You do not really know what will happen in the future. It is better to be safe and prepared.

At the end of the day, there’s nothing much we can do but to pray. Everything is in His hands.

My niece, Aga, is very much excited about two things, her graduation and 7th birthday, which will both happen this month. She even printed out her own photo graduation invitations so she can distribute it to everyone as early as now.

Aga is an exceptional kid. I find it amazing because at her age, she can already host a “party” without any script or anyone telling her what to say. Her parents are truly proud of her! I am, too.

I have seen how she has grown, and somehow I am missing the baby AGA we used to have. Well, life really moves in a relentless pace….

Lately, I have been busy with a lot of things. I feel like a whirling top, and more often than not, I get ‘dizzy’ with all those stuff I am currently working on. But hoping for a positive return, I do not want to stop until I get what I want.

Hay, scattered brain! I do not even know where I can pick up all the pieces. I even forgot my laptop in my nieces’ room. They kept on calling me to tell me that I left it there, but I did not notice my phone ringing.

I keep on reminding myself to focus on the things that I have to accomplish at the soonest possible time. First things first. I hate to admit this, but despite the long list of the things needed to be done, more of than not, I do not finish many of them.

Most people are using motorcycles as mode of their daily transportation. I do not see nothing wrong with this. But I think it is too risky especially when you are driving recklessly. You will see news in the television a lot of motorcycle drivers who get caught in accidents.

My father experienced the same thing when he was younger. He was driving carefully, but he was bumped by a car driven by a teenager girl who was with her girl friends. My father said the driver seemed a little drunk. The parents of the driver came with a pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney, and they settled everything well. Good thing that my father was wearing his helmet all the time, and so he was not seriously injurered. He just had some minor fractures.

For all the drivers out there, whatever you are driving, be sure that you are driving carefully and following all the traffic rules. And please NO TEXTING WHILE DRIVING!

I have been hearing a lot of stories shared by some workers in the constructions sites. I pity them because despite the very low salary, their jobs come with a lot of hazards. Some employers do not take precautionary measures to protect the well-being of their staff. I think this is a MUST since their jobs are really risky. If they are compromising their workers’ safety in order to safety, I hope they will realize that it will cost them much more if one of their workers get caught in an accident.

My husband has plans of buying a car for us since the kids will be going to school this June. He said that he wanted me to accompany the kids to school as they are still too young to be entrusted to those school service drivers. And so, yesterday, I went to a driving school near our place and inquired about their rates and services. I also checked on auto insurance quotes so I will have an idea when I do our budget planning.

Though I do not feel so confident driving especially with the kids, I still have to learn this skill and believe that I can do this. If other ladies can do this, why can’t I?

season of reminiscing

I must say…. It’s a season of reminiscing!

My high school friends keep on posting our old pictures, and somehow this affected all of us. Everyone seemed to feel like connecting to each other again. And it just feels good. After many years of separation, here we are, trying to catch up with the lost times.

Personally, I am feeling so nostalgic also. In fact, I have just finished scanning all our pictures so I can share it with all of them. Maybe this way I can also ask them to buy some of my promotional products.

I have been hearing that most of them want to have a reunion. But since everyone is busy, it’s hard to organize one. No one is really willing to spearhead. I cannot really volunteer myself even though I am not that busy for some personal reasons.

Well, I do not even know if I am going to attend should the reunion push through.

But needless to say, I miss all of them.

Yesterday, as I was browsing through my facebook account, I stumbled upon this video created by a parent for her children. That 4-minute video made me cry for more than 30 minutes.

Having lost my mom at a very young age, I have learned to value all those people around me who keep on showing their undying love and support, especially my father. When my mom died, I promised to myself that I would love and take care of him as much as I could.

I am planning to get him a senior life insurance so whatever happens, I can be assured that he can get much needed assistance.

My father is not really concerned with his health. Maybe because he does not feel anything wrong with his body right now. But being a smoker and a heavy drinker, he is more likely to suffer from diseases. I keep on telling him to stop those vices, but he’s hard-headed and keeps on insisting that he is already old to stop.

preparing for the rainy days

Just last week, I had my windows fixed. I asked my neighbor’s friend to install sliding windows at a very low cost. Since he was kind enough, he agreed to do it. But for one condition, I have to buy roller shades from her wife. That was a good deal since I would also need to buy one.

Next month, I will also let the carpenter check our roofs, if they are still okay. I do not want to be dealing with that when the rainy season comes. It’s nice to be prepared once in a while.

Do not buy things that decline in value.

Hubby has developed this impulsive buying attitude since he worked abroad and started earning more than he needs. I told him to assess the things he bought already, and he said that most of them were picked impulsively. And those things he mentioned ended up stored in the shelves. He also sent this KVM switch to me which I do not really know how to use.

I told him that he should start saving for our future. All those gadgets that are not badly needed should not even be considered in his to-buy list. Hmmm, I think he’s listening…
