coming to terms
Before we went to our vacation, hubby and I still had a lot of bouts of squabbles and disagreements. Trivial matters blown out of proportion…
I believe, it is just normal for any couple to engage in this kind of clashes. We are all entitled to our own views and opinions, and this entitlement sometimes makes us believe that we are all right. Thus, making no room for compromise.
Before we went back here, hubby and I agreed to really make a conscious effort not to fight anymore, especially in front of the kids. Their lives here in Bahrain are just a lot lonelier compared to those of staying in the Philippines. The kids there are just so lucky to be free to explore the neighborhood without so much threat of being lost.
It is just so great and it feels so nice to see how we both learn to control our temper… and our tongues, as well… whenever we feel that someone is doing wrong. Yes, hubby still critizes… and he still gives me this feeling that I never do things right… but at the end of the day, no matter how I mess up with the whole process, he still makes me feel appreciated. And for that, we truly deserve some nice holiday gifts!
